Duty calls

I have a confession to make: I not-so-secretly enjoy arguing with stupid people on the internet. It brings me immense pleasure and my husband will attest to my occasional late-night heated exchanges with strangers all around the globe. Sometimes he even brings me whisky to help lubricate my bitterness.

Over the coming days, weeks, months, years, perhaps even decades, I will share with you some of my most treasured moments, including screenshots and techniques for getting under the skin of people who are simply wrong on the internet.

No one is beyond my attention: those who fight to protect feral horses at the peril of delicate ecosystems and native species, climate change deniers, people whinging about road closures during Mardi Gras, conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, foamers, anti-abortion activists, misogynists, and many, many other dickheads. Sometimes friends seek out my very special talents. Sometimes I volunteer willingly. But I always go in armed with facts and backed up by evidence, with a healthy dose of sass thrown in for good measure.
